My visit to the surgeon today was supposed to go like this. He was supposed to tell me that there is a pothole or crater in my talus that needs to be cleaned out. He was then supposedto schedule a surgery date for me for a month from now.

Instead, my visit went like this. The doctor told me that the crater was so large that it needed to be filled in with bone and cartilage from another source (either from me or from a dead person). The doctor then told me that I should really see someone who is not just a specialist in orthopedic surgery but spomeone who further specializes in ankle surgery.

So now I have to see a new doctor on Nov 10 and I still don't know when my surgery will happen.
